MEET YOUR GUIDE

A day on the water.
A guide named Liam.

Chrome & Timber starts with Liam and the rivers of West Michigan.

Get to know the person you’ll be fishing with. His story, approach to guiding, and favorite parts of a river day will live here.

Liam’s personal introduction is being prepared.

BOAT & TACKLE

Meet the
Hooligan XXL.

Liam’s boat is a Stealthcraft Hooligan Raft XXL. Its roomy layout gives anglers space for a day on the river.

The standard frame includes a front casting brace, seating for the rower and anglers, and a rear storage rack. Talk with Liam about the tackle and setup for your trip.

BEFORE YOU GO

A read on the river.

Live USGS readings for the Pere Marquette, White, and Big Manistee. Flow, gauge height, and temperature appear where reported, with an observation time for every reading.

Loading the latest observations…

Times are shown in Michigan time. Temperatures are converted from °C to °F. Readings over 2 hours old are marked delayed; missing measurements stay unavailable. Gauge height is station-relative. These observations do not establish safe conditions or describe fishing quality.

NOTES FROM THE WATER

The river journal.

The first chapter is still ahead.

Liam’s dated fishing reports and photographs will appear here. Check back for notes from all four rivers.

TRIP REQUEST PREVIEW

A good place to start.

This is your draft. It has not been sent to Liam.

Once connected, requests go to the business inbox. Liam will reply to arrange the trip and add confirmed trips to his calendar. A request alone does not reserve a date.

DESIGN REVIEW

The first version.

The navigation, river shortcuts, report filters, date picker, and request preview work. Requests stay in this browser and can be downloaded; they are not stored or sent.

The complete tree-free logo you supplied appears in the footer. Its fish detail accompanies a readable header wordmark. River and fishing photography on this page is supplied by you. Hooligan XXL manufacturer photos are from Stealthcraft and are labeled as model photos. The river banner and closing image use your actual river pictures; the fishing photos and Liam’s portrait came from your ZIP. You identified Liam as the person with glasses. No river names, trip offerings, or fishing reports are inferred from the photos.

Liam’s biography, photos of his own boat, tackle, trip offerings, rates, contact information, and reports still need his input.

USGS observations are connected through its public Water Data API. The river cards show observation times, provisional status, delayed readings, and unavailable measurements. The live cards cover Pere Marquette at Scottville, White River near Whitehall, and Big Manistee near Wellston. A Google Calendar and Gmail connection is prepared for the new business account; it is not activated yet. Requests do not create reservations or calendar holds. Deposits are not connected.
